Your Denim Wardrobe

What does your denim wardrobe look like? I decided to inventory mine. Here’s what I’ve got: Straight leg (also “relaxed” style): One pair. Skinny: Four pairs.  Flare (also trouser style): One pair. Boot cut: One pair.

The straight legs are medium wash, but everything else is uniformly dark. You might notice that I’ve combined a couple of styles in two of the pairs. I am efficient that way.

The boot cuts really aren’t getting any wear these days. I keep them around for the couple of times a year I put on actual cowboy boots. The rest of the styles are in pretty heavy rotation.

Here are some good denim designer’s cuts that are way on sale. Discount designer denim, you say? Why yes. Look, there’s a denim glut out there. While creating ever new variations on the theme (neon, snakeskin, destroyed, embellished, high waist, etc. etc.), every season designers will also do a straight leg, a skinny, a flare and a boot cut. Every season, there will be overruns that get marked down or go to liquidators (who have a new upscale name, “a flash sale site”).  So every season, don’t pay retail for designer denim. Here are one of each that you can find at great prices right now.
